We are fervently striving to follow the pattern of the New Testament Church. We want to “do what they did and become what they became” - Christians.
Becoming A Christian
We followed the instruction of the New Testament in becoming a Christian. Those of the first century heard the gospel of Christ, believed in Jesus as the Son of God, repented from their sins, confessed their faith in Christ and were baptized for the remission of their sins. The blood of Christ was contacted in baptism and the Saviour’s blood washed away our sins.
We Are Not Perfect
We are humans and thus we are not sinless. We make mistakes. We want to be more like Christ every day. But God’s children are blessed to know the blood of Christ keeps on cleansing us of our sin.
Our Organization / Government
As the Scriptures authorize, we are overseen by an eldership. Specific works are assigned to men who serve as deacons. There are two evangelists at East Hill. Members serve under the oversight of the eldership.
Our Work
The church at East Hill participates in various good works locally and throughout the world. The three areas of the work of the church are evangelism, edification and benevolence (as we strive to follow the example of the church in the first century).
Our Worship
God is a Spirit and we must worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). The church at East Hill worships on the first day of the week, as Christians did in the first century, engaging in the same activities of worship.
What You Can Expect When You Worship With Us:
We have the privilege of praying to our Father in heaven – offering our thanks and making known our requests.
All are encouraged to blend their voices together as we sing praises, making melody in our hearts to the Lord. There will not be instruments of music (since there is no Scriptural authorization for them).
We will study the Holy Bible. A sermon will be presented which will be Christ-centered and designed to instruct all in the way of righteousness. You are encouraged to take notes and always check in your Bibles to make certain truth is taught.
Christians will have a privilege to give as they have been prospered – as the church in the first century did and as authorized in Scripture.
Christians partake of the Lord’s Supper on the first day of the week, as authorized in the Scripture. This involves the unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine (which represents the blood and body of Christ).

THE SON OF GOD is the Key to Man’s Problem of Sin
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).
Christ came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). He purchased the church with His own blood (Acts 20:28).
All are invited to come to Him for salvation (Matt. 11:28-30).
Only those who obey Him will be saved (Matt. 7:21; Heb. 5:8-9).
Friend, your soul is the most valuable possession you have (Matt. 16:26). Please make certain you are prepared for eternity.
If we can assist you in learning what the Lord requires, as well as your obedience to His will – Please contact us.
We would be honored to help if possible.
